The date stamp puts this handsome tureen anywhere between 1896 and 1952! I found it in a local home, here in La Sarthe, and reckon it's 1930s/1940s, given the other items in the sale. Probably best as a planter or decoration, as the interior "patine" is quite strong. There's a large bowl to go with it if you fancy. 21cm high, 22 width.
